A failed post needs diagnosis before another publishing attempt. The error may concern one profile, its permissions, the media, or the content still being prepared.
1. Find the failed destination
Open Calendar, set the status filter to Failed, and open the post marked FIX or failed. Read the message for that destination. If the post targets several profiles, check which succeeded and which failed.
2. Match the message to a fix
| What the error points to | What to check |
|---|---|
| Connection or authorization | Reconnect the affected account in Workspace settings → Social accounts and verify the intended profile is present. |
| Unsupported format or media | Open that channel's version and correct the image/video combination or required media. |
| Missing or inaccessible file | Preview the attachment; replace or regenerate it if it cannot be loaded. |
| Media still rendering | Check the render state and wait for the actual finished asset. |
| Invalid content or platform options | Review the caption, required settings, and the validation message for that profile. |
Use Reconnect a social account for connection problems. A video-render failure has its own recovery steps.
3. Retry the affected post
After fixing the cause, use the available Retry failed post action. Watch the resulting status rather than clicking repeatedly. Check whether another destination already published so you do not deliberately send it again while fixing the failure.
If you use the composer to make a new attempt, review its time and destinations before submitting. Confirm whether the action will publish immediately or schedule a future delivery.
4. Confirm the outcome
Return to Calendar and inspect the updated status. Where available, use the link to view the live post on its social platform. A retry button click alone does not mean delivery succeeded.
If the error returns
Contact Help & support with the platform, approximate attempt time, post context, and exact error. Mention whether other destinations succeeded. This is more useful than reporting only that “the post did not work.”
