Create and edit a carousel

A carousel is a sequence of images published together. Review every slide: the cover alone cannot tell you whether later text fits, the photos are in order, or the final call to action is correct.

Open the carousel

Choose a carousel template to create new content, or open an existing carousel in Content. The preview lets you move through the finished slides. Choose Edit to open an editable carousel when that action is available.

Edit one slide at a time

Select a thumbnail in the Slides strip.
Select the text or image on the canvas that needs changing.
Use the editor controls to adjust its content, typography, crop, or position.
Move to the next slide and repeat the review.
Recheck the first and final slides together so the opening promise and closing action agree.

The Text, Image, Shapes, Branding, Background, Size, and Layers panels work as they do in the design editor. Keep text away from edges and shorten paragraphs that compete with the photograph.

Adjust the sequence

Use the available Add slide, Duplicate slide, and Delete slide actions. Reorder using the slide controls. Some templates use a fixed number of slides, so these actions may be restricted. The editor also enforces its minimum and maximum slide count.

Read the delete confirmation carefully: removing a slide cannot always be undone. Duplicate a useful layout when the next slide should share its structure, then replace its text and photo so it adds something new.

A useful listing sequence is an exterior introduction, distinct interior or feature views, and a clear enquiry prompt. For advice, give each slide one point instead of splitting a long paragraph at arbitrary places.

Save the correct result

For an existing carousel, Save & Exit saves your edits. Save as Template creates a reusable starting point; it serves a different purpose from exporting the finished slides. If the editor warns that the carousel is linked to a post, review that message before saving because your changes can affect that content.

When starting from a template, fill its content and generate the output using the offered controls. Wait for all slides to finish rendering, then inspect the completed preview.

Before scheduling

Check the image order again in the post composer, read the caption, and review each selected destination. Follow the composer's validation if a channel cannot accept the current combination. See Supported formats.
