The Velisto WordPress plugin connects your Houzez site to a Velisto workspace: publish a listing on your website, and it appears in Velisto ready for content creation. Setup is one connection key, pasted once.
What you'll need
- A WordPress site running the Houzez theme, and admin access to it
- Owner or admin access to the Velisto workspace you're connecting
Step 1 — Start the connection in Velisto
Open Workspace settings → Houzez and choose Connect a Houzez site. Enter your site's address (e.g. https://your-site.com).
Velisto generates a connection key and shows it once. Copy it now and treat it like a password — it grants write access to this workspace, so store it only in your WordPress admin.
Closed the key screen without copying? No problem — but the old key is gone for good. Use Regenerate connection key on the Houzez panel to issue a fresh one, and pair with that instead.
Step 2 — Install the plugin on WordPress
- Click Download plugin on the same panel to get the plugin ZIP.
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, install and Activate.
The plugin keeps itself up to date from Velisto automatically — no manual updates to remember.
Step 3 — Pair the two
- In WordPress, open the new Velisto menu.
- Paste the connection key and click Save & Verify.
- On success, the panel shows the site as connected — and back in Velisto, the Houzez panel shows your Connected site with sync status, listing count and last-sync time.
Step 4 — Run your first sync
In Velisto, open Listings → Import and run the Houzez sync — it imports every published listing from your site into the workspace. Details, including how ongoing syncing behaves: Sync your listings.
Managing the connection
Everything lives on the Workspace settings → Houzez panel: pause or resume syncing, regenerate the key, or remove the connection entirely. Removing the connection stops syncing but leaves already-imported listings in your workspace.
