A post can share a starting caption across profiles and still have a tailored version for each destination. Review the individual versions before scheduling, especially when formats or media requirements differ.
Start with the shared version
- Open the composer through Create → Start from scratch, or open an editable post from Calendar.
- Select the profiles under Post to.
- Write the common caption in Global and attach the media.
- Open each profile's tab to inspect its preview.
Make a destination-specific edit
Choose the profile tab and change its caption for that audience. For example, use a shorter opening for one destination while keeping more detail in another. Check the link wording too: a caption that says “link in bio” may not suit every channel.
A customized channel no longer simply inherits every global change. After editing Global, revisit customized tabs and verify they still say what you intend.
Return to the shared caption
On a customized tab, use Back to global when you want that channel to use the common content again. Review the result before saving: this replaces the separate customization for that version.
Removing a profile from the tab row removes that destination from the post; it is different from returning its caption to Global.
Review channel options and validation
Open Settings — per-profile options when available. The options depend on the selected platform and format. If a profile becomes unavailable after a format change, check the explanation and media requirements rather than assuming the account disconnected.
Generated content-plan reviews may omit Global because each channel already has its own caption and design. Review those versions individually through the plan's approval controls.
Finish the post
Read the character counter and any validation message for each destination. Check attachments and the active preview, then save, schedule, or publish. After submission, verify each channel's state in Calendar.
