A property's Status describes its current availability. A post's angle describes the announcement you want to make. A post's publishing status describes delivery. Keeping these separate prevents a dated marketing message from being mistaken for current property information.
Understand the three labels
| Label | Example | Where you check it |
|---|---|---|
| Listing status | Active, Under Contract, Sold | The listing record. |
| Marketing angle | Just Listed, Open House, Price Drop, Just Sold | Promote a listing. |
| Post status | Draft, Unapproved, Scheduled, Published, Failed | Calendar. |
The exact property-status choices depend on your workspace's taxonomies.
Change a property's status
- Open Listings → All listings and find the property.
- Open its editing controls and select the correct Status.
- Save the record.
- Confirm the updated label in the listing view.
- Review marketing that still describes its previous state.
Choose an accurate announcement
Start Create → Promote a listing and choose the angle that matches the actual event. Selecting Just Sold is not independent verification of a sale. For Price Drop, check the current price and any previous-price comparison; for Open House, verify the event's date and time.
Check pending posts after a change
Find scheduled or repeating content about the property in Calendar. Correct captions and media with the old status, then confirm whether each post should remain scheduled. A finished image is a snapshot of the facts used when it was created.
For the next announcement, follow Promote an open house or status change.
