Use Create → Start from scratch when you already have the words and visuals, or want to assemble the post yourself.
Open the composer
Choose Start from scratch from the sidebar's Create menu. Select the social profiles that should receive the post. Only use profiles belonging to the current brand or client.
Add the content
- Write or paste the caption. Check links, contact details, and line breaks.
- Add photos, a video, or an existing design using the media controls.
- Reorder photos when the sequence matters. Check the crop and preview.
- Review each channel tab. Make platform-specific changes where offered.
- Resolve any validation messages before saving or publishing.
A design saved in Content is a reusable visual. Media in Uploads contains the files you have brought into Velisto. Choose the source that holds what you need.
Review the shared and channel versions
Start with the shared caption, then open each selected channel tab to check its preview. A channel override is useful when a destination needs a shorter caption, a different call to action, or a different media selection. Back to global removes that separate version and returns it to the shared content.
Check media order after attaching several images. For video, wait until processing is complete. A filename appearing in the composer does not prove that the destination can publish it yet. Follow any format or connection validation shown by the composer.

Choose what happens next
- Save draft: keep the work for later.
- Schedule: select a future time or an available posting slot and check the timezone.
- Publish now: send the ready post to the selected channels when you are ready to go live.
A publishing request can take time to complete. Check the final status rather than treating the button click as proof of delivery.
If a button is unavailable
Look for a missing destination, a media requirement for the selected channel, a visual still rendering, or an account restriction. Adding text alone may not be enough for a channel that requires an image or video.
