Promote an open house or status change

Create timely property posts without carrying old prices, dates, or availability into the message.

Use Promote a listing for an open house, a price change, or a new stage in a property's marketing. Start by updating the facts on the listing.

Create the announcement

  1. Check the property's current price, status, and event details in Listings.
  2. Open Create → Promote a listing and choose the property.
  3. Choose Single post for one announcement or Listing campaign for several pieces.
  4. Select the matching angle, such as Open House, Price Drop, or Just Sold.
  5. Complete any event details requested in the flow.
  6. Choose the format, photos, and channels, then generate and review the result.

Check timing as well as content

Schedule an open-house announcement before the event, in the intended timezone. Check every date and time in both the caption and the design. A campaign may contain multiple posts, so review each proposed date rather than only its first post.

For a status change, make sure old scheduled content is still appropriate. Updating a listing does not automatically rewrite every saved caption or graphic.

Keep the listing and announcement consistent

For an open house, check the saved Date, Start time, End time, and any virtual-event or visitor notes. A caption should not announce a different time from the property record. Add access instructions only when they are appropriate for public sharing.

Keep the event details current before creating invitations or reminders.

For a status change, review the property first and then the new announcement. Updating a listing does not mean an older scheduled caption has been rewritten. Open Calendar and inspect future posts that still say “Just listed” or advertise an event that has ended.

When plans change

If an event is cancelled or moved, open the affected posts in Calendar and update or unschedule them. Check all selected channels and any repeating content.

Next: Review and schedule a post.
